Translations:Number needed to treat – NNT/1/en

This is a statistical measure of how many patients need to be treated to achieve a desired therapeutic outcome in one patient. In addition to absolute and relative risk reduction, it is a (rather descriptive) means of quantifying the benefits of treatment. A larger NNT means a smaller risk reduction.
