Pulmonary atresia is a congenital malformation of the heart. During fetal development, the exit to the large pulmonary artery does not develop. The valve is completely closed and blocks the normal flow of blood to the lungs.

-Die Pulmonalatresie ist eine angeborene Fehlbildung des Herzens. Bei der sich während der fötalen Entwicklung der Ausgang zur großen Lungenschlagader nicht entwickelt. Die Klappe ist vollständig verschlossen und blockiert damit den normalen Fluss des Blutes zu den Lungen.
