Cytoplasm

The basic substance of a cell, together with the smaller active units, the cell organelles.

If the cell organelles are removed by centrifugation, the product is called cytosol.

Das an der Zellwand etwas viskosere Cytoplasma bezeichnet man als Ektoplasma und das im Inneren flüssigere Cytoplasma als Endoplasma.
