Bone Epiphysis
the bone epiphysis; the initially fully cartilaginous joint end of a tubular bone with the bone nucleus developing therein; is initially separated from the diaphysis by the epiphyseal joint, after the closure of the epiphysis it grows together with the bone, forming a common medullary cavity; see also Pseudoepiphysis
