Osteoporosis

Disease of old age, in hormonedisorders and metabolismdiseases, which is represented by lower bone density and increased risk of fracture. Occurs particularly in postmenopausal women and can be improved, if not avoided, through physical activity and bone-straining endurance training.

Today osteoporosis is a worldwide health problem. The WHO has classified osteoporosis as one of the 10 most widespread diseases. It is estimated that about 40% of all women suffer a fracture caused by bone loss once in their life. Osteoporosis causes about 2 million fractures of the femur every year worldwide.
