Three phases:

The pharmaceutical phase comprises the disintegration of the dosage form and the dissolution of the drugs. The conditions for this are determined by the galenic properties of the drugs.

The pharmacokinetic phase deals with the subprocesses absorption, distribution and elimination of drugs.

Die pharmakodynamische Phase umfasst die Arzneimittel-Rezeptor-Wechselwirkung sowie die sich unmittelbar daran anschließenden Effekte - klinische und toxische Wirkung.
