Vertebral Column

The spinal column consists of 32-34 vertebrae, namely 7 cervical, 12 thoracic, 5 lumbar, 5 sacral and 3-5 stunted coccygeal segments. It has an opening in its middle, the vertebral canal, in which the spinal cord runs.

Zwischen jeweils zwei Wirbeln verlaufen nach rechts und links 31 Abzweigungen des Rückenmarks, die wir Spinalnerven nennen. Sie führen weiter in fast alle Körperbereiche.
