Cerebellum

The cerebellum sends efferences to the vestibular cores, the brain stem centers of the organ of equilibrium and receives afferences from the brain stem cores of the [[organ of equilibrium] via the spinal cord.

It is important in the control of motor functions: coordination, fine tuning, unconscious planning and the training of movement sequences run via the cerebellum. It is also said to play a role in some higher cognitive processes.
