Constipation

Movement disorders of the bowel can result in constipation and lead to chronic bowel disease.

All other measures, especially dietary ones, should be fully exhausted first. In the case of laxatives, preparations containing swelling or bulking agents should be used first.

Auch die pflanzlichen Abführmittel dieses Wirkprinzips führen zu Wasser- und Salzverlusten. Dabei erzeugt der Verlust von Kalium erneut eine Darmträgheit. Sehr schnell kommt es zu einer Abhängigkeit von Abführmitteln und dadurch langfristig zu Darmschleimhautschädigungen.
