Latin: Anulus fibrosus. At the heart, the Anuli fibrosi are the fibrous border or framing of heart valven. They form a stiffening ring around the flaps which keeps the inlet opening stable.
In the case of the aortic ring, a pull on the surrounding tissue can occur during implantation of heart valves, which disturbs the conduction of stimuli from the sinus node.
