Translations:Purine/1/en

Purines or purine bases are organic basic compounds that are involved in the structure of nucleic acids - DNA and RNA. Purine bases are contained in the nucleotide building blocks adenine and guanine. This is the end product of the enzymatic degradation of purine bases in the liver (purine metabolism). It is no longer further processed in humans, but only excreted via the kidneys.
