MRNA

When synthesizing proteins, mRNA', also known as messenger RNA, is required to copy a portion of DNA encoding a gene.

The mRNA is, so to speak, a blueprint of the DNA of the gene. The protein is then produced in the ribosomes from the mRNA with the amino acids available in the cell.
