Atrioventricular valves

Also called atrioventricular valves. They close the ventricles during their contraction against the atria. They thus act as valves for the blood between the atrium and the ventricle.

Rechts mit drei Klappensegeln, die Trikuspidalklappe, links mit zwei Segeln, die Bikuspidal- oder auch Mitral-Klappe.
