Transport Proteins

The term transport proteins refers to all proteins that assume transport functions.

Among the transport proteins we count

1. the transmembrane proteins (transport hydrophilic substances into the cells) and

2. die substanzbindenden Serumproteine (transportieren vornhemlich lipophile Substanzen).

Zur ersten Gruppe gehören die Carrierproteine und Ionenkanäle und zur zweiten Gruppe die Albumine, das Hämoglobin, das Transferrin, die Lipoproteine u.v.a.
