Atrioventricular valves

Also called atrioventricular valves. They close the ventricles during their contraction against the atria. They thus act as valves for the blood between the atrium and the ventricle.

Right with three flap sails, the tricuspid valve, left with two cusps, the bicuspid or also mitral valve.
