Angioneurotic Edema

In individual cases, angioneurotic edema (Quincke's edema) has developed under ACE inhibition and with it an increase in bradykinin. In angioneurotic edema, there is subcutaneous edema and swelling in the face, larynx or tongue. Local swelling after ACE inhibitor administration is suspicious. If the anamnesis reveals a "Quincke edema" in the previous history, this represents a contraindication for the administration of ACE inhibitors.
