Eye Colour

The eye colour is created by the different degree of pigmentation of the connective tissue layer: The connective tissue layer of blue eyes, for example, contains very little pigment; brown eyes, however, have the strongest pigmentation. Because pigmentation only builds up during the first year of life, almost all babies have blue or grey eyes.
