Baroreceptor Reflex

A regulatory system serving to regulate blood pressure quickly, in which the circulatory centres in the brain stem and the original nuclei of the vagus and sympathetic nervous system are activated or attenuated via pressoreceptors in the aortic arch and carotid sinus, thereby temporarily influencing cardiac and vascular functions.
