peripheral sensory organs in the walls of atria, heart chambers and blood vessels and other hollow organs (bladder, gallbladder), which serve to regulate the cardiovascular system and kidney function by stretching the wall musculature through the excitation of the circulation centre and hypothalamus due to filling and pressure.
