In the anterior lobe (HVL), the hypothalamus and others adrenocorticotropic hormone are used under neuronal and hormonal control. (ACTH, corticotropin), follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, melanocyte stimulating hormone, growth hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone and lactotropic hormone.
The release of oxytocin and adiuretin occurs in the posterior lobe (HHL). (vasopressin), which are formed in the hypothalamus and transported via nerve fibres to the posterior lobe.
