Induction Phase

In the induction phase, the malignant degeneration of the cell occurs. The cell is altered in a multi-stage process by carcinogenic influences or carcinogens. The action of carcinogens usually takes many years before a normal cell turns into a cancer cell. At the end of this development, the cell no longer obeys the normal control mechanisms of cell growth and differentiation and begins to divide independently and uninhibitedly.
