Cardiomyopathy

Disease of the pericardium that is accompanied either by a thickening of the heart muscle (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) or by an enlargement of the heart chambers (dilated cardiomyopathy). The changes lead to problems with blood flow (formation of vertebrae with formation of emboli) or with the transmission of stimuli.
