Kinine

Plasmakinine, biologically highly active oligopeptides with effect on the smooth muscles of blood vessels, digestive tract, bronchi and uterus. The enzyme kallikrein, which occurs in an inactive form in the pancreas and blood plasma, initially forms bradykinin from a globulin fraction of the blood, which is converted into other kinins by the enzyme ACE (angiotensin conversion enzymes).
