Adrenal gland
Endocrine gland with two different proportions:
the adrenal medulla, which mainly forms adrenaline and noradrenaline and releases by nerval stimuli, and the
adrenal cortex as production site of steroid hormones. Besides the mineralocorticoids, which regulate the mineral metabolism (aldosterone), glucocorticoids are formed, which influence the carbohydrate metabolism, as well as small amounts of androgens and estrogens.
