Other types of publication reviews are review articles about a particular field that describe the state of the art. In this way, many published results can be presented and appreciated in context. The individual results of identical primary studies are summarised. The aim of a meta-analysis is to investigate whether an effect is actually present and if so, how large it is. In medicine and other sciences, they help with two problems: Often - mostly for cost reasons - the samples of the primary studies are much too small to produce reliable results. If one now summarizes many single examinations suitably, then the result won with it is much more exact and safer. Often the primary studies do not use exactly the same methods, definitions or draw their samples from the same population. General characteristics of an abstract are: It should be as short as possible It should have a clear, comprehensible language and structure It should contain all essential facts explicitly and It should reflect exactly the contents and the opinion of the original work PosterPosters are frameless, poster-like and decorative printed products that are hung on a wall or partition. Full papers are scientific articles that consist of an introduction, material and methods, results and discussion, usually describing the state of the art, a comprehensible experimental setup, results, the conclusions drawn from them, and a derivation of their significance, in contrast to short articles in which the experiment and the result are described without appreciating the scientific significance and the environment.
