Abbreviations: pO2, PO2: the partial pressure of dissolved oxygen present in the arterial or venous blood; 
Normalwerte: arterial approx. 100 mmHg, mixed venous approx. 35-40 mmHg; with age the values drop to up to 60 mmHg (arterial). E: oxygen partial pressure.
