Serum Electrolyte Disorders

Disturbance in the electrolyte equilibrium of the blood, see electrolytes. Diuretics can lead to secondary activation of the sympathetic nervous system and the RAA system. This can, for example, further increase electrolyte shifts (e.g. hypokalemia).
