Alveolar Pneumonia

In alveolar pneumonia, the inflammation takes place within the alveoli. This form can be further divided into two subforms. In bronchopneumonia, the inflammation of various sources of infection in the bronchi spreads to the lung tissue. In lobar pneumonia, on the other hand, an entire lung lobe is affected by the inflammation.
